  • Can everyone use the Ezi Travel app?

    The Ezi Travel app is only available for Ezi Car Rental customers who have a current car booking with us. Once the Ezi Travel account is created, you can continue using it, even after you returned your vehicle.

  • Just booked a car on your website, can I start using Ezi Travel right away?

    Your Ezi Car Rental booking data will be transferred to the app within approximately 60 minutes. This means, if you just made a booking with us, you won’t be able to sign up straight away. If, after 60 minutes you are still experiencing problems, please get in touch with our Ezi Travel help desk via [email protected] or phone +64 9 394 9906.

  • How do I download and install the app?

    The Ezi Travel app is available for both iOS and Android mobile phones. You can download the app in the App Store and Google Play Store. Simply search for "Ezi Travel", click "download" and then "install".

  • Can I use the app with my iPad or Android tablet?

    Although you might be able to download and install the app on these kind of devices, please keep in mind that our Ezi Travel app was designed for mobile phones, so the user experience might not be ideal.

  • How do I sign up and log in?

    In order to get access to the Ezi Travel app, you need to have a current Ezi Car Rental booking. For signing up, you only need your booking reference number and your last name. Note that all our booking reference numbers start with R0 (zero). You can find the number on the top part of your booking confirmation email. In the next step, add your email address and a secure password (a minimum of 6 characters). Almost done! For the last step, please check your email inbox (and sometimes your spam / junk folder) for the verification email. Click the verification button and your account is now activated. To log in, simply use your email address and password. Don't forget to click "keep me logged in" so the app doesn't log you out when you switch to a different screen or app on your device.

  • I have more than one car reservation, which on do I use to sign up?

    If all your reservations are in the future, it doesn’t matter which one you use. Once you’ve created your account, the app will know about all your upcoming trips, and will offer you the option to choose between the different car rental itineraries. If you have reservation numbers of vehicles you’ve already returned, you won’t be able to use these to sign up, as you need a current booking with us.

  • Can I manage, amend and cancel my car rental booking with the app?

    No, unfortunately this is not possible yet. You can only manage or cancel your car rental booking via our website. To access it from the app, click on the burger menu icon on the top left corner and click on “Book a car”. This takes you to our website. Now you can click on the bottom left button “Manage booking” and enter your reference number and last name. This is where you can cancel your booking as well. If you wish to make any changes to your car booking please get in touch with our Customer Service team here.

  • Why does the app logg me out all the time?

    This is because you didn’t click on “keep me logged in” on the login screen. Once you do that, the app will remember your login details and you can easily switch between apps and screens without having to login again.

  • How can I change my password?

    If you’re already logged in, go to your profile and tap on “Change password”. If you’re unable to login, please use the “Trouble logging in? Click here” link to reset your password.

  • Can I change my email address?

    To change your email address please contact our Ezi Travel helpdesk via [email protected] or phone +64 9 394 9906.

  • Why is there not suggested itinerary for me?

    We are constantly adding new suggested itineraries to the app. It might be that we haven’t covered your itinerary locations and trip length yet.

  • What are my payment options within the app?

    We use Stripe as our payment processor for Ezi Travel. Stripe accepts MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and JCB cards.

  • What does it mean if a booking is labelled "pending"?

    This means that the accommodation or activity operator needs to check availability before they can confirm the booking.

  • How long does it take for a pending booking to be accepted or declined?

    This shouldn’t take more than 12 hours. If you haven’t been notified about your pending booking status within this time frame, please let us know by getting in touch with our Ezi Travel helpdesk via [email protected] or phone +64 9 394 9906.

  • What if I need to cancel an accommodation or experience?

    Every offer within the app has individual cancellation policies, so please double-check before booking. If you’ve already booked, simply click on your confirmed booking in the itinerary tab and scroll down to read the cancellation policy of the respective booking. Note that for free activities e.g. Taupo Huka Falls, a cancellation removes the tile from the itinerary, while cancelling a paid activity or accommodation leaves it in your itinerary for your convenience.

  • Are there any FREE experiences?

    Yes, there are some free experiences in the app as well. These are typically walks, hikes or other famous sights you can visit on your road trip through NZ.

  • How does the map work?

    The map shows each destination and service that is available in the app across NZ.

  • What happens if I tap on the heart next to a destination or experience?

    Tapping on the heart next to a destination or an activity/accommodation adds that item to your itinerary as a draft. To remove it, simply tap again on the heart.

We were picked up promptly from the terminal at Auckland airport and taken to the dept to collect our car. We were dealt with efficiently and friendly by the receptionist and within no time at all we were in our way. The car was very clean and in good condition. On our return again we were dealt with by the staff in a friendly and professional manner. I would definitely book with Ezi Car again.
