How to book your free day

1. On the NZ game days, go online to www.ezicarrental.co.nz and select the dates for your journey (dates selected must be a minimum of four days and include the date of the free day also)

2. Add in the promo code RUGBY in the 'Got a promo code' box

3. Select the pick up and return location and click 'Find my car'

4. Select your car of choice, please note the total amount shown for four+ days already has the free day rental cost removed from the total. Hit select and choose your cover and options. You will see under 'Your Quote' that the one free day has been removed from the total

4. Add your personal details and 'Book now' to confirm your booking - ezi! You will automatically go in the draw for the weekly jersey promotion also

Terms and Conditions

Supporters Jersey Promotion

  • The supporters jersey draw will take place every Friday, the first draw will be on 27 September
  • The winner will be contacted via the email address that they used to place the booking, and your jersey preference (Men's, Women's or Youth jersey and size) and postal address will be requested
  • The jersey will be posted within 14 business days to the address provided, subject to availability
  • To be eligible, you must book and complete your journey between 20 September and 2 November

Free Additional Day Promotion

  • A minimum booking of four days is required to get the fourth day for free. You can book for more than four days however if required
  • Maximum one day free for every booking
  • Select your date range and the free day charge will automatically be removed under the 'Your Quote' booking cart
  • Offer only available for a 24 hour period on the NZ game days (21/09, 02/10, 06/10, 12/10, 19/10, semis and finals TBA) from 00:01 – 23:59

    Mechanical problems

    All mechanical breakdowns are covered by First Assistance. This includes engine faults, cooling systems, electrical faults and vehicle recovery.

    Non-Mechanical/Driver at fault

    All call outs diagnosed as a non-mechanical breakdown at the time of the initial call, will incur a call out fee.

    This includes flat batteries (caused by accessories left on such as lights and doors not closed), wheels and tyres, lost keys, if you get locked out of your car or run out of fuel.

  • How do I pay for my rental car?

    When booking with Ezi Car Rental, you don’t have to pay anything up front.

    Please give us a call or email us if you’d like to do so.

    Please note that we do NOT accept Cash as a form of payment.

    We accept:

    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • American Express
    • Credit cards
    • Debit cards

    These cards must show the customer's name, signature and card number, with the applicable logo. Prepaid and Reloadable Debit cards and gift cards, as well as Travel cards are not accepted for securing your booking/security but can be used for payment.

    A card transaction fee of 2.2% for MasterCard and Visa and 4% for American Express applies to the total rental charges including GST (but excluding any Airport and Wharf fees and the GST on these fees) where a credit or debit card is used for payment. The card transaction fee is subject to GST.

    Please note that all reservation confirmations contain full vehicle pick up information.

  • Do I have to rent snow chains in Winter?

    Snow chains can be an absolute essential when traveling in New Zealand during the winter months. As a result of motor vehicles being caught without chains in sudden snowfalls over winter in the Queenstown Lakes District and Milford Sound, a bylaw has been introduced.

    The bylaw states, "At the direction of an enforcement officer or authorised officer, the driver of any vehicle may be required to fit snow chains to such vehicle on any road, and no person shall drive, or direct or allow such vehicle to be driven without such snow chains fitted."

    Please be aware of this bylaw if you are going to be travelling in these areas during the winter period.

    Non-compliance will result in a $150 fine for Queenstown Lakes District and $750 for Milford Sound.

    Snow chains can be added for as little as $10 a day, up to a maximum of $40 per hire.

  • Are there any roads I cannot drive on?

    You can drive Ezi Car Rental cars on any road except:

    • Tasman Valley Road - also known as the Ball Hut access road (Aoraki/Mt Cook)
    • Skippers Canyon Road (Queenstown)
    • Ninety Mile Beach (Northland)
    • Any roads north of Colville on the Coromandel Peninsula

    These roads are not part of normal touring routes and you will not be insured if you drive on these roads, or drive on any beaches or take part in any off road driving at any time during your hire.

     

5 stars. We booked at Auckland airport. We got picked up literally as we stepped out of airport. Friendly staff took our info and gave us the car keys(near new Rav4). Super simple process and car was in great condition. While dropping the car back Took them 2 minutes to inspect the car and without waiting we got dropped back to airport. Great price and they don't charge anything extra like cleaning etc. I would highly recommend them.
