Coronavirus Update

Latest update to our customers regarding COVID-19

INFORMATION FOR ALL CUSTOMERS IN ALERT LEVEL 1 (12/03/21 ONWARDS).

Auckland has been moved to Alert Level 1 from 12pm on 12/03/21.

Our Auckland Airport and Auckland City branches are both open and back to normal operating hours - see our Locations pages for more detail.

New bookings can be made from both our Auckland branches, so please book as per normal on our website or contact our friendly Reservations Team on 0800 545 000


ALL OTHER BRANCHES  

The rest of our New Zealand branches (Wellington, Queenstown, Christchurch and Dunedin) will continue to operate in Alert Level 1.

Our non-Auckland branches will be operating out of their normal locations in the airport terminals (Wellington, Dunedin, Queenstown and Christchurch) and the branch hours will remain the same (see the Locations pages here).


The Reservations and Customer Service hours are now from 7:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays, and from 8:00am - 6:00pm on weekends.

Please note we ask you to maintain the social distancing requirements at the branches, follow our signage when queuing and adhere to all Government hygiene requirements including the use of masks, social distancing and good hand hygiene.


 

Additional Cleaning and Sanitisation Information

We are very proud of our cleaning processes at Ezi Car Rental but during this time we have put in place additional cleanliness procedures across our network. This includes increased sanitisation of all rental vehicles, with a particular focus on the sanitisation of keys, steering wheels and other highly utilised areas of the vehicle.

All Ezi Branch staff are also adhering to the Ministry of Health’s guidelines regarding hygiene advice and social distancing measures.

We actively encourage all our customers who visit an Ezi branch to scan the displayed QR code with the NZ COVID Tracer app, more details on the app can be found here.

Alert Level Updates and Booking Policies

All changes in the Alert Levels will be communicated on our website and via our social media channels. The updates will highlight what you need to do as a customer, whether you have a current booking or one in the future. 

Cancellations

There is no cancellation fee at Ezi, if you wish to cancel your booking please let us know.

You can cancel your booking:

  • online by clicking on “Manage Booking”. Please note, bookings for car rentals cannot be cancelled online less than 24 hours before pickup and 48 hours before a ferry crossing.
  • If you need to cancel less than 24 hours before the pick up or less than 48 hours before a ferry crossing, please get in touch with us by phone on 0800 545 000 for New Zealand and 1800 129 102 for Australia, or email us on [email protected].

Rescheduling

If you wish to return or extend your rental car booking during a Covid Alert level change, please contact us via phone or email.

 

 

I booked a car with Ezi Car Rental. Got a white Toyota RAV4. It was in an extremely great condition. The cost was very reasonable & so were the insurance options. The rental process was very simple & I got the car in 20 minutes. There was no problem during 5 days of rental. Highly recommended.
