On a full charge, the estimated driving range is 380km. This figure is an estimate determined by your driving habits and may not accurately predict actual range if your driving pattern changes.
We currently offer these from our Auckland Domestic Airport and Auckland International Airport branches only, with no way one journeys applicable. Pick up and drop off at Auckland City is on request.
We know charging can take time, so when you rent a bZ4X with Ezi, you don’t need to return this fully charged, we just ask that there is at least 10% charge left.
If there is less than a 10% charge on the battery, then a recharge fee up to $80+GST will apply and be payable by the hirer.
To start the bZ4X, enter the vehicle with the key fob, close the driver’s door, and the vehicle will power on automatically. Alternatively, you can also press the brake pedal to turn it on.
When the green “READY” icon appears on the display, you can engage “D” (Drive) mode.
To turn the vehicle off, push the “P” (Park) button, push the “POWER” button, take your foot off the brake, unbuckle your seat belt, and open the driver’s door.
While we hope this does not happen to you, if you do run out of charge please call our Roadside Assistance, and they will transport this back to the nearest charging facility. Transportation of the vehicle can only be undertaken by way of a flat-bed truck, as the vehicle is not able to be transported by a tow truck. The cost of transportation will be charged to the hirer, and can be charged up to $1,000. Do not arrange your own towing.
Ezi’s Roadside Assistance is 24 hours and can be contacted on 0800 545 000.
The expected remaining range can be found on the right side of the display screen. This figure is an estimate determined by your driving habits and may not accurately predict actual range if your driving pattern changes.
The state-of-charge gauge on the meter display is like a conventional fuel gauge. The state-of-charge percentage is also displayed. We recommend not allowing your charge to get too low.
Public rapid charging stations are available around the Auckland region. Click here to locate a public charging station using the ChargeNet map (https://charge.net.nz/map/).
Charging your electric vehicle can be done at home or while you’re out and about. You can charge your EV using a home power outlet, a Wallbox, AC (alternating current) public charging and DC (direct current) fast charging. To see how to charge, watch this short video.
You’ll need a special electrical setup at home for All-Electric vehicle charging, with a dedicated circuit and a compatible charging unit installed by a certified electrician.
With the vehicle powered off, the doors unlocked, you access the vehicle’s charging port flap located above the front left wheel arch on the passenger’s side by pressing the outside corner.
Your new bZ4X comes with a portable dual-voltage charging cable that can be plugged into your home power outlet, however we suggest using a public charging station which includes their own cables that plug directly into your bZ4X charging ports.
230v standard wall socket: Uses a standard household outlet and provides a slower charge, can charge from 10% to 100% in approximately 39 hours.
DC 150kW Fast Charging: Available at public charging stations, this method provides the quickest charge, can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
The bZ4X will not be available to rent on a one-way hire and must be returned to our Auckland Domestic Airport or Auckland International branches. Returning the bZ4X to a location other than the pick up location will result in a repositioning fee of $1,000+GST being charged to the hirer.
